It is available on a couple of microfilms, though. That's how I got my copy. There are also bonuses in the form of other, unrelated items on the microfilm, such as a collection of Aleut texts collected by Waldemar Jochelson. I seem to recall there are also the few pages of Atakapa which Mary Haas gort (and which add nothing new to our knowledge of the language.

Not really. It's all archived at the American Philosophical Society, and
they'll make copies of it for people, but it's not cheap.
Swadesh's Chitimacha *grammar* scarcely needs to be revised at all -- pretty
much all it would need would be to have Swadesh's weird transcription system
(i.e., his unfortunate habit of writing ejectives as voiced) fixed to be
more in line with modern linguistic practices.
