Aha! I think this is what you (?) eventually suggested after the initial
CSD discussion, though I think it never found its way into the CSD text!
Anyway, it's very familiar, and probably makes better sense than an
evanescent hu.
Maybe the stem is c^haNl=uN=hupa ~ c^haNl=uN=uNpa?
