MALC this coming weekend.

The International Room is on the 6th or 5th floor of the Kansas Union.  Everyone who preregistered should have gotten an envelope with a parking permit, map, etc. from Continuing Education via US Mail.  There is meal service in the Union on Friday at least.  Minimally so on Saturday and probably not at all on Sunday.
 
Carolyn says I can invite all the Americanists out to our place to grill some brats, burgers, hotdogs, etc. on Friday evening.  We live about 14 mi. NE of campus, and can arrange rides for those who don't have transportation.  I'll bring some maps to distribute at the Friday sessions.  
 
The MALC banquet is Saturday evening at the conference motel.  I neglected to sign up, but if everyone else did, I'll try to wiggle in late.  For those who didn't, there are a number of decent restaurants within walking distance of the conference motel including Thai (2), Greek, east Indian, Jordanian and several American places.

For the present Mid Am. Ling Conf. here in Lawrence this Fri-Sat,  The International Room is in the KU Student Union -- would that  be correct????
The KU website information was unclear, or I failed to observe it.
Was there any follow up interest for the Siouian list atendees to have a social and fellowship?
