Are you referring to the Eldridge Hotel  on the corner of 7th and
Massachusetts here as the conference motel??  If not can you give a more
specific address.

There seems to be some interest in meeting and heading out to a restaurant
Thurs. evening for those arriving by then.  Those of you who are in Lawrence
by 7:00 p.m. can meet in the lobby of the conference motel downtown.  We can
walk to any of several restaurants from there.  I'd suggest one of the
ethnic places since they aren't quite as crowded.  There's a Thai place
right downtown that's pretty good.  We can decide on the spot.
