What's in a name

I had an experience similar to Marilyn's when traveling in South America last
fall. When I was introduced to Deaf people by my name sign - which is BGG-
they were puzzled and seemed not to accept it so a Deaf Venezuelan friend
created a name sign for me which translated as glasses/rosy cheeks. THe second
part of the sign must be articulated correctly or else it could mean GLASSES/
PEABRAIN ( or in Spanish "boba").
