The Deaf Studies team within the University of Central Lancashire
in Preston, England, seeks:
* Lecturer in Deaf Studies (ref AA/23)
* Lecturer in BSL/Deaf Studies (ref AA/21)
LECTURER IN DEAF STUDIES
This is a two-year fixed term appointment based in the Department of
Education Studies to take responsibility for the provision of high
quality teaching, research, communications and administration,
working as part of the Deaf Studies team.
Experience of teaching, assessment and administration in
post-compulsory education, together with a postgraduate qualification
(or equivalent) in Deaf Studies or a related field is essential.
Research experience as well as a record of publications arising from
research in the field of Deaf Studies is also required. You must have
functional fluency in a sign language (not necessarily BSL).
LECTURER IN BSL / DEAF STUDIES
Working within the Department of Education Studies, you will provide
sign language tuition to Deaf Studies students and contribute to the
work of the Deaf Studies course team.
You must possess CACDP Stage 3 and CACDP Stage 1/2 curriculum course
coupled with teaching experience of CACDP Stages 1,2 and 3.
Experience of teaching in a HE setting as well as possession of C&G
730/7307 PT1 or BSLTA/DUBSLTTC 9or equivalent) is also essential.
