  I have actually read of a similar study done in the USA ( I believe ) that
discovered the same phenomenon among ASL signers. So this is not new. I think
there is a need for greater collobration between researchers and linguists
around the world who are working on different sign languages, as it is
possible that you all may find similar discoveries or come to similar
conclusions (   or maybe not...  : )    ).

  Pity I can't remember the article, and who the author was. Perhaps someone
else might recall such an article. It was in some linguistic journal or book.
