I'd have to refer you to Frances Elton <f.a.elton at city.ac.uk>for a
more formal assessment of whether borrowings from ASL appear in BSL.
My impression is that borrowing is largely confined to
linguistic terminology - perhaps the most interesting example is the
BSL sign 'classifier' which has the handshape of the ASL classifier
for vehicle (the BSL classifier for vehicle is a flat hand)
By the way, I don't believe the Norton advert is being shown at all
on British television.
