Dear colleagues,

Yesterday the first Flemish Sign Language - Dutch / Dutch - Flemish
Sign Language dictionary was launched. It is an on-line basic
dictionary which contains over 2000 Dutch entries and over 6000 signs
from Flemish Sign Language (VGT) (including regional variants). The
signs can be read through SignWriting and can be seen as moving
pictures (although not all of the films are ready yet; they are being
added on a daily basis). You can search the dictionary in two
directions: from the Dutch written word or from the Flemish Sign
Language sign (with a search platform based on SignWriting).

At the moment everything is still in Dutch and/or VGT, but information
in English will be added shortly.

The website can be found at: http://gebaren.ugent.be and can be
accessed freely.
