Ed Klima, RIP

Just received:

'I just learned about the death of eminent linguist and leader in the sign
language field, Edward Klima.  Here is his obituary from the New York Times:

definitely worth reading, not only to note his personal achievements, but
also to learn more about sign language interpreting in general and the fight
waged to have sign language acknowledged to be a "language" at all.
