Profound apologies for bouncing this suddenly at the whole list - I'm struggling to manage email, due to go back into hospital very shortly.  I have enjoyed for years the discussion and exchanges on this list, and intelligent contributions from so many sides and occasional dips into historical deafness and sign which I have found fascinating!  (Even if I pull through and live a few months longer, I do not have the strength to take part any more.  Maybe it's time to slip quietly away from the party).


May God bless you all for your good works and scholarship and kindness.   I learnt a lot from so many of you.
