SSILA 2014 and other news

Dear SSILA Member:

The *preliminary program* for the 2014 Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN 
(January 2-5, 2014) is attached to this mail.

*Preregistration* for the meeting is open at 
http://www.linguisticsociety.org <http://www.linguisticsociety.org/>.  
You can also make *hotel reservations* through this site.
_If you are an LSA member,_  log in to the LSA website and register as a 
member.  Logging in before registering will automatically give you the 
member registration rate.
_If you are not an LSA member_, click on the large red “Register for 
meeting” button at the top of the page.  You will be asked to identify 
yourself as a student registrant or a regular (i.e., non-student) 
registrant, and will initially be charged the nonmember rate.  At 
checkout, use one of the coupon codes shown here: SSREGULAR (for regular 
registrants who are NOT LSA members), or  SSSTUDENT (for student 
registrants who are NOT LSA members).   These codes will bring your 
registration fees down to the LSA member level.

*News:*
The University of Florida Department of Anthropology is looking for a 
Southeastern US Native American languages specialist to fill their 
Elling Eide Endowed Professorship; the announcement is attached.
