SignWriting List
May 29, 2002

Dear SW List Members:
Cecilia Flood, who is writing her dissertation about SignWriting
right now, sent me the message below back at the end of
April....Because Cecilia wrote it to the List, I thought it had
reached the List...Then I realized it was never posted to the List.
So Cecilia - please excuse my tardiness in re-directing this
message...I know, when the time is right, your video will be very
valuable for Deaf Education!

And best of luck with the remarkable work you are doing -

Val ;-)

Valerie and list members,

Thank you for your 'appreciation' of our videotaped CASA conference
videotapes. It's heart warming to see the positive response and interest in
viewing our 'home made' videotape. Before we begin a discussion about
'sharing' it so that others can view the tape, I'll need some time to talk
to several 'stakeholders' involved, the adult presenters, the students that
were 'featured' in the taped 'clips' and their families. We did work hard
on those presentations and I can see already that it has...and will
make...significant impact on the use of SignWriting in classrooms for Deaf
and Hard of Hearing students.

Thanks,
Cecilia
