SignWriting List
September 9, 2002

Dear SW List, and Charles -
Thank you for this point. Yes. Of course, to represent any language
properly, one must have the proper accent marks and so forth.

Regarding SignBank Menus in the Roman Alphabet, FileMaker claims that
if I enter them once properly in the internal workings of the
software, then it should show up correctly with all the accents etc
on other people's computers....But if there are problems with that
later, I can always create Graphics Files for the Menus for all
languages, just as I will do for Chinese, Japanese and Arabic
anyway...

So for now, we will try the Roman Alphabet under the FileMaker
umbrella...Which means that I personally have to be able to read the
accents properly to begin with, so I can enter them properly into the
program...

That is why we will go over this carefully together - I will focus on
your translations soon...Thanks for your feedback everyone!

Val ;-)
