Dear SW List, and Anne-Claude -
Thank you for your message below...

We need the Lessons in SignWriting textbook, or CD files, translated
into French and Swiss-French Sign Language...absolutely! That would be
an important project, Anne-Claude, and I hope you can do that. No one
has translated Lessons in SignWriting into French yet, as far as I
know...The Toulouse group has not been active for awhile, but there is
a group in Paris starting to use SignWriting, so perhaps you will want
to work together? I will be happy to help the translation project, by
providing the pages and diagrams, and by including your completed
translation along with other languages, on our Lessons In SignWriting
CD, when your book is ready...I am starting that process now, for the
Brazilian translation and extended textbook by Marianne Stumpf...

I used to print the Lessons in SignWriting textbook in a big white
notebook...it was a heavy and costly publication. Now all the files are
on computer, and available on CD, and that is the way it will be
published for now...since it will be completed faster that way...

To start the translation process...go to:

http://www.SignWriting.org/lessons/lessonsw2002

And translate those pages...

Also, because you paid your membership, Anne-Claude, I will be able to
send you the SW Member CDs in September, and one of those is the
Lessons in SignWriting CD, which will give you the same book in several
different formats, including in a FileMaker database..

Val ;-)
