Excellent, maybe it's just their particular plugs and switches.  I may be able to get one wholesale which would work much better than what I have.

I don't know where you got that information, Charles, but I'm
emailing you right now from a Dell that prints fine to an HP printer. As
far as I know, Dells will print to any parallel or USB printer.
