Dear SW List members, Joe and Kirsten -
Thank you, Joe, for posting Kirsten's message to our List....

Kirsten...Guess what? Sign Languages are becoming written languages
now, so there is a written form for ASL that you could use...it is
called "SignWriting", and our SignWriting List discusses the
topic...Perhaps you would like to join? Or at least write to me with
further questions...

And oh...by the way...we can write, and even catalog ASL titles,
searching for those titles by Sign-Symbols...which we call the
Sign-Symbol-Sequence (SSS)...the only problem is that the library
system doesn't realize this exists yet...Do you have any ideas as to
how to get libraries to implement such an ASL cataloging system? My
experience is that it takes time to get such new ideas established in
institutions...however cataloging it by hand would be no problem...so
we would be glad to teach you how...

Thanks for writing!

Val ;-)
