Hello Stefan, and Everyone!
Yes. That's right. When you are no longer connected to the internet,
you probably see something like this?:

> <you.png> <dot_a.png>

That is the way Stephen Slevinski, the Sign Puddle designer, designed
it. To change that, would take some re-programming, I am sure. The way
it works right now, you will only see those signs as graphics, when you
are online, because Stephen's programming is telling your computer to
access those graphics on the web. When you cut off the contact to the
web, you cut off the direct line to the graphics..
So SignWriting Email is a new idea, and it is amazing that we can send
email in graphics at all...There are many other new features that
Stephen and I have talked about adding, so we hope to improve the email
feature on Sign Puddle in time.
I am writing grants now, to try to find funds to pay for new
programming...
