....problem with selecting and editing continued...

The goal is to find the hidden space that should not be there, select
that hidden space, and delete it. In the attached diagram I tried to
show what it looks like...it is a skinny blue space that is oftentimes
almost on top of signs...just place your cursor and drag to the right
and if you find a skinny blue one, use the delete key to get rid of it.
The missing marker should show up and then select the whole sign again
and this time the M key should be a cursor key and not the letter M!
