Actually, Charles, I believe you can. There are two quick ways.
The first is to create a Language Bar on your computer, that gives you
a pull-down menu for Portuguese and Brazilian-Portugese, like I have on
my Mac, and then you can change to the Brazilian keyboard when you are
typing on the web in SignPuddle...then change back to the English
keyboard when typing English...you can do this in Windows XP and also
in 98...
The second way is to use keystrokes that are special...While in the
English keyboard, do this keystroke:
1. Alt-n
2. n
Alt-n n........That will give you an n with the tilde over it like
this: ñ
Alt-c gives you ç
and two dots over any vowel:
1. Alt-u
2. then the vowel, like e, o etc...
So Alt-u e ....gives you ë
Alt-u gives you an umlaut on the next symbol you type: ö
Alt-e gives you an accent on the next symbol you type: ó
Alt-i gives you a hat on the next symbol you type: ô
Alt-n gives you a tilde on the next n you type: ñ
