WRITING SIGNS RELATING TO THE TORSO continued...
Readers, through experience, start memorizing combinations of contact
and movement symbols that happen frequently. For example, the signs for
PRINCE and QUEEN have the same movements in ASL. Only the handshape
changes. After awhile, the Shoulder Line can be taken away, and the
reader still reads the signs accurately:
