question about the sign "Jew" in ASL puddle

Hello Detleff, and everyone:
is this two-handed version of the sign for "Jew" a regionalism?
I am Jewish, and have *never* yet encountered this version of this sign,
but then again, I am only familiar with East-coast ASL (Boston and
Washington DC). 
Later on tonight, I will add the version to Puddle of the sign as I have
been taught it!
