hi Val,
what I was trying to show is a diagonal back and forth motion. I had thought that there were
three movements in the first one and only two in the second, which is what I was trying to show
with the arrows, but it turns out after looking closely at the video that there are only two swings
in each one. In both, the right hand starts out extended to the front on the right and the left
hand is near the center of the torso (both have palms facing up, index and middle finger
hooked). The hands and forearms sort of pivot to the left at the elbow, so the hands swing left
(left and out for the left hand, left and in for the right hand). Then both hands reverse direction
and go right again. The first time the sign is done, it's sort of an easy swinging motion, and the
second time it's more an acceleration of someone preparing to take off at high speed.
perhaps rather than trying to get the reversal of direction into one arrow, which is why I chose
the one that looks like a u-turn, I should just have two parallel arrows pointing in each
direction? In that case, how do you read them again to know which direction comes first?
