Same in Poland. But if the kids were not good, they get rods :-). And 
the Polish name for Santa is Mikołaj.
(I visited my parents last weekend and they gave me money for 6th Dec., 
I don't like getting gifts on this occasion - but for my parents I'm 
still a kid, apparently ;-))
