Dear Val,
Wow!!! Thanks a lot for this posting and the other info that the link 
leads to. The work that I'm doing will involve displaying signs in 
multiple writing systems, so this is just the sort of thing that I like 
to see!

It was interesting too to read the articles about hand-printing 
SignWriting. I'm hoping to start BSL classes in the autumn (fall?), so 
maybe if I can get to grips with SignWriting by then, it will help me to 
take notes!
