Symbol Palette
50 Symbol Groups

Sutton’s International Movement Writing Alphabet (the IMWA) includes  
50 groups of symbols, placed on a symbol palette in five vertical  
columns:

Column 1: 10 Handshape Groups
Column 2: 10 Movement Symbol Groups
Column 3: 10 Facial Expression Groups
Column 4: 5 Head Groups, 5 UpperBody Groups
Column 5: 2 FullBody, 4 Space and 4 Punctuation
