SW Handwriting Course Lesson 1 Posted!

I agree, Stuart, I have the same problem. I'm finding I often write a
finger too close to the handshape (Square or Flat Hand) and have to erase
and try again. For this lesson, I wrote everything in pencil so I could
erase when necessary, and when I was satisfied I went over it with a dark
pen so it would scan.
Another question is, how do you get used to writing in different
orientations? I find, especially with the Flat Hand, that I end up cutting
off a corner at the knuckle. (If you think of it as a "house" shape, one
side of the roof goes all the way to the ground!) The faster I try to
write, the worse it gets - and increased speed is the point, is it not?
My final question is, how do you differentiate the arrowheads for right and
left hands - or do you bother? You'll see in this lesson that I did fill in
the arrowheads (I wrote it before I took another look at Val's handwritten
name sign and saw that the arrow wasn't filled in. Oops! Should have
double-checked!)
All in all, though, I enjoyed doing the lesson! Thanks for the teaching,
Val!
