Thank you for this question...

In regards to the Video Instruction for SignPuddle, it requires no  
language at all, while you are watching the videos. It doesn't matter  
if you know French or English, you are watching the mouse on the  
screen click on things...so there is no language requirement...so the  
videos are language-independent. Plus, we have the directory of  
videos in French, thanks to Anny's hard work... Here is the link to

Of course I know Stefan can tell you much about his teaching (please  
do, Stefan!).

Stefan has been teaching SignWriting for many years, and at the time  
that Stefan started working with SignWriting, we only had the  
SignWriter DOS program, so there was no SignPuddle at that time...and  
I believe they still use SignWriter DOS in Stefan's classroom  
today...smile...and why not? If they have the computers to run it,  
that is wonderful...It has poor graphics quality and cannot sort  
dictionaries by SSS, and it cannot write down in vertical columns,  
but it does have a typing program with no mouse available, and it is  
fast to use for western signed languages.

SignWriter DOS does not run on modern operating systems like Windows  
XP or Vista. I believe Stefan uses an emulator program called DOS- 
BOX...so it can be used on Windows XP if you use DOS BOX...

Someday we hope to build in a keyboard system in SignPuddle, but that  
will not happen immediately since other things are more important  
right now...
