Sign Writing Linguistics Conference

Although I heard originally from about 10 of you interested in holding a SignWriting Linguistics Conference at Gallaudet University in Washington, DC, October of 2008 or October of 2009, I have received none since I asked for a deposit on that proposal of $100 to be able to secure a space at the hotel.

With that being the case, we are holding off until we have sufficient interest and support to do so.  I am not sufficiently employed to underwrite the deposit on this effort alone.
