Favicon for signwriting,org

Gerard's original idea was something more international-- so far all the suggestions come from ASL... Anyone know more Gestuno or something more all inclusive?

I only know ASL, and the most "iconic" sign I know would be the ILY handshape... it is the closest thing to being universally known in the US, among hearing and Deaf. Igt would also be simple enough to read at that tiny size.

If we want some sort of quick icon for SW, why not Writing, it's pretty iconic for an act and is only two symbols that could be one graphic.

Hello Gerard, Stefan and everyone -

I looked up the word FLAVICON in a small English dictionary and could
not find the word...does it mean LOGO?

This logo doesn't really mean VICTORY...it is the number 2 hand in
some sign languages...to write the VICTORY hand movement that you are
thinking of, that is known in the hearing world to mean VICTORY...that
needs to have the back of the hand...a black symbol...because when
people do that motion the are showing the palm to the person facing
them, and they view the back of their own hand...we write
expressively, which means we are writing the way the sign looks or
feels, from the signer's point of view...

Anyway, if you are looking for a "LOGO" or representative symbol that
means "SignWriting", I could post a few ideas and then we can discuss
it...I will do that next message...I have no opinion on this, and I
look forward to the conversation ;-)

Thanks for the idea, Gerard! Val ;-)
