Hello Gerard!
Thank you for the excellent blog.

I hope you can mention to all at the conference, that there is  
outstanding work being done in Germany by teacher and writer Stefan  
Woehrmann, at the Osnabruck School for the Deaf in Germany, on the  
writing of German Sign Language in SignWriting, and also the writing  
of the mouth movements of speech, called Woehrmann's SpeechWriting, or  
Mundbildschrift in German, that uses SignWriting mouth movement  
symbols to write actual speech, which helps Deaf children learn to  
speak German...

And Stefan has written books on SignWriting, called GebaerdenSchrift  
in Germany...Here are some important links:
