Thanks, Stuart and Adam, for your answers...that makes sense...
There is a chance, that as we start writing encyclopedia articles in
ASL about American history etc, that perhaps written ASL will in time
give names to historic figures like presidents...because I believe
that writing spoken languages had that influence on spoken languages
too...there was a time when people did not have two names...because
they didn't have contact with very many people...and there was no need
to differentiate between two people with the same name, but as time
went by and their names were written etc, second names developed and
so forth...
So written ASL might give names to some famous people...who knows ;-)
