Place Over Button deletes symbol

Hello Steve!
This is very exciting...thank you for working so hard and such long  
hours...

I just found a surprise problem. I dragged two symbols over, and then  
one of them was selected and I clicked the Place Over button, the  
symbol disappeared...

The Place Over button is deleting the symbol...

I will test everything else next...thanks once again -
