Hello Kelly Jo!
This is so exciting to realize that you have already written 12 pages  
of SNOW WHITE....

For those on the SignWriting List, who would like to follow Kelly Jo's  
writing...Kelly Jo is transcribing a video of Darline Clark-Gunsauls  
signing the story of Snow White in ASL...You can read the documents,  
which are being posted page by page on the ASL Literature Puddle:

Go there and search by words, for SNOW WHITE, and all the documents  
will appear.

I have not posted the video of SNOW WHITE on the web yet, but if there  
is anyone here on the SignWriting List that wishes to follow Kelly  
Jo's transcription I will be happy to post the video on the web too...

Please write back to the List to tell me if you want me to post the  
SNOW WHITE video...if you are interested in following the  
transcription of the video...

Now...to answer your question, Kelly Jo. I went and looked at the sign  
for SNOW in the ASL Dictionary:

And I found out that the sign that you entered in the dictionary,  
Darline's style of signing SNOW, had been entered as a SignText  
document, rather than as an "individual sign". You saved it as a  
SignText document in the Dictionary... The Translate Feature can only  
search for signs that are entered as "individual signs"...it cannot  
search SignText documents yet...

So this means that if you go back into the Dictionary...and click on  
the SignMaker Icon on the left of the screen to enter the sign as a  
new "individual sign", then the Translate Feature will find it...

It has nothing to do with the SignSpellings, except that you would not  
be able to add a SignSpelling to a sign that was entered as a SignText  
document anyway...only "Individual signs" can be given SignSpellings ...

So although your individual sign looks great, you will need to re- 
write it now by clicking on the SignMaker icon on the left of the  
screen...
