Dear SignWriting List Members -

THANK YOU to all of you, for your contributions to our SignWriting  
List, in 2009!

Your discussions, documents, web sites, software, workshops,  
conferences, publications...all are a blessing for SignWriting users  
around the world...

The SignWriting List gives a feeling of family...knowing that we share  
some of the same interests...and we can always ask each other for  
opinions and feedback...and although only a small group of SignWriting  
users, the List is an important part of the spreading of written sign  
languages. You all are contributing to history when you post a message  
to the SignWriting List.

I know that 2010 will be an amazing new year...a new decade...of  
increased use of written sign languages...

SignWriting will be 36 years old in Autumn, 2010. So the writing  
system is in the middle of its fourth decade...

I am going to take the weekend off, and will be back on the List on  
Monday, January 4th, 2010.
