Wouldn't that imply that the finger end in a touch?  I've checked several of the ASL video dictionaries on line and they all start from the center and work outward.  Does you variant go inward?  If so, I'd add it to the dictionary as  regional variant.

It seems like the arrows should point the other way, inward.  What do you think?
