Ok just read some more emails and think I understand the question better
this time...
I think Adam's three lanes would be ideal - when ASL writing becomes
standard and there are rules, one rule would be this: repeating a sign in
3 lanes, would imply that it was signed 'all over the place and more than
3 times
- however then someone might ask - how will you read this as differently
to just PLACING the 3 'Classes' in 3 different points in space. Well in
this case (in LSM - not sure for ASL) the head would go up-down with the
signing of each sign. So another rule would say: while placing objects in
space - the signwriting must include head up-down.
I think it's a matter of setting rules for every sign language to be written.
...am I clear, if not could send some signwriting to explain this?
