After seeing the video, I think you described it perfectly. And Val is right that you would need the torso tilts. While the torso tilts are normally placed at the shoulder line, I personally would opt to place them over the head since there is something that is happening at the place the shoulder line would go. Here's what I was thinking.

>> HI Val,
>> I have a question about the Sign below. Why mostly it is about the body figure, I want to be sure I am using it correctly. In the video the man is eating with gusto and as he is eating he is rocking from side to side with each bite. When his right hand comes up he rocks to the right and when the left hand comes up he rocks to the left. I wasn't sure how to show that and I thought this might be the way to do it. Ron side he didn't know how to use the body figures or it they were on the same plain. I looked in the books and I couldn't find any information to help me understand how to use them. So wanted to ask if I was using it right and if that is how I would use it to show what the action was in the video. --- It is saved as Mark 6_30-44g.

> Thank you for the question above. I am answering you on the SignWriting List because tomorrow, Tuesday, I will be away, so if you have further questions be sure to ask teachers on the SignWriting List to help you...they can explain this well, since lots of documents do have the rocking motion of the torso and shoulders that you mention...We call it tilting...Also, if someone can view the video of Mark 6_30-44g, that will help to view the sign you are writing.
