Hi Anny -
Thanks for this message. I am having a lovely summer here in San  
Diego, California and I hope you had a good trip? We are having simply  
gorgeous weather. The ocean is warmer now, becasue of global  
warming....it used to be a cold ocean here, but not now...In fact,  
there are new sea creatures entering San Diego waters now, because the  
climate is warming...Last night they had a report about these new  
kinds of giant squids that love San Diego oceans right now, because  
the weather is warmer...strange, but the good side is that it is  
delightful weather for everyone!

ASL does a lot of the grouping of nouns like what Anne mentioned as  
well, but that doesn't seem to be the case with this word. Here ASL  
does a shorten definition made into compound. It literally means "To  
kill myself." There are some who will say that the pronoun should be  
changed to the "self" of the person committing the suicide. So if you  
are talking about someone else, it should be "he/she kill+him/ 
herself". However, it is more often the case that people will use this  
sign, "kill+myself," for any instance of suicide regardless of what  
person you are referring to.



I hope that this helps, and gives you a little insight of how  
"suicide" works in ASL. (Wow, that looks morbid. Haha!)
