spelling repeated movement

I was thinking of the motion without the arrow to show a multiple arc motion. I remember the old "alternate motion" arc and wonder if that might also be used here as a double single line to show multiple arcs along the same line whatever the direction of movement.

I've been following along with this for awhile and was wondering the
same thing - about putting the arrow heads side-by-side, but then
realized it might be misinterpreted as a repeat movement that gets
lower as it's repeated. The only other option I could think of was if
the movement arrows were smaller. Three small movement arrows together
might be seen as less of an impact on the total sign.

I immediately read it as extended little motions beyond the
first curve. I'd put the arrow heads side-by-side even without the
lines.

spelling repeated movement

Hi Valerie,
sw-list members -

today I
thought about a second way to indicate that
the same movement is performed two or three times. Just adding another
arrowhead should be enough – what do you think? Would you read both
spellings as the same? Sometimes this option – if possible – would
allow
to write the sign not so complex.
