SignWriting List
December 4, 2010
Hello Yuri and everyone -
This is joyous news..... I am so happy to learn that your proposal for written LIBRAS (Brazilian Sign Language) was accepted in the state of Bahia in Brazil...
Congratulations, Yuri!
I would like to ask you a favor. I hope you will write your chemistry signs, used in your research, in the Brazilian SignPuddle dictionary:
SignPuddle for Brazil
http://www.signbank.org/signpuddle/index3.html#sgn-BR
If you do not know how to use SignPuddle, we can teach you here on the SW List. Ask questions any time.
When you add a new chemistry sign to SignPuddle, write to the SW List and say:
"I have added some new signs to SignPuddle"...and give us the names of the signs you have entered, and then we can read them online.
Ask for feedback on your writing. This helps everyone...we learn together that way.
I am encouraging everyone on the List to start sharing your writing with all of us - it helps all signwriters around the world -
Congrats again, Yuri!
Val ;-)
