SignWriting List
January 14, 2009

Hello Everyone!
Today one of my co-workers stumbled upon a blog-post about
SignWriting, and the International SignWriting Alphabet 2008. It was
posted last September, and some comments were made last November, but
is a wonderful discussion...Take a read:

Ginger's Thoughts - Silvia's blog
http://blog.gingertech.net/2009/09/16/open-standards-sign-language/

Maybe some of you would like to respond too? I might later.
Steve...maybe your new work with UTF-8...and the SignWriting MediaWiki
Plugin...might be of interest to them...and other programmers here on
the List...perhaps your perspective on programming using SignWriting
will add to the discussion...

Isn't the internet wonderful? We are so fortunate to have this kind of
ongoing communication...

Of course some of the comments assume that there is no way to write
sign language, even after others explain that they are writing with
SignWriting, but nonetheless, this kind of dialogue opens all of our
horizons...

Many thanks to Silvia or Ginger for posting this interesting blog...

Val ;-)
