new hand configuration

My question is it much different than this handshape? Because this is  
what I first thought of when I saw the photos.

If it is a huge difference just by where the thumb is, but not much  
different, how would it look if we just moved the thumb out of this  
symbol? Would that be confusing with other symbols?
