AW: Congratulations card for a marriage

Dear SW List,

I must insist, if you are going to be using English on the card, the word is "congratulations".  It is plural, not singular.  This is an error that both Deaf and non-native English speakers often make because they are not corrected when it happens.  It may be ASL proper dialect, but it is not good English.

Congratulations on your wedding, not "congratulation".  It is "many" not singular.

It's like saying "cheers" for holding up a drink, the proper use is plural, not "cheer."

Here is my ASL gif so you can expand it to any sized card you want.

Thank you, Stefan! We love your cards ;-))

Here is one way to say it in ASL...This says Happy Wedding Day!

My family knows of my interest in SignWriting and they will appreciate it when a community I am part of is part of my best wishes to the bride and groom.

As the cousin is deaf, it would be really neat if she can send him and his groom a congratulatory card as well.
