It is very good work.
It would be great if it can be used as an widespread accessibility
resource and developers could collaborate on its improvement.
Is the avatar animation system open-source or is there any other way
to access it besides the demo?

I wish it could run on Linux :)

I agree with Charles about the use of sign writing and not oral
writing systems to denote signs. Signwriting could be used to help the
sign animation.
I believe the user could use signwirintg symbols to define hand
configuration or facial expressions for example. Or to assing a
movement to the avatar...

congratulations for your work Mr. Jemni.
The paper describing your avatar animation system was cited on my
thesis and its very nice to see you on TED.
