Hi Marquita -
No dictionary, that only lists individual words or signs, is a way to write a language…

Dictionaries are very important for learning all languages, but they are not the whole story - they do not teach you how to string the words or signs together in sentences to make it truly correct grammar in the language you are trying to write..

So the Video Dictionary you show below is just that - a dictionary - and all dictionaries do not teach grammar and syntax by themselves -

To truly write ASL, you either need videos of skilled ASL signers signing the complete sentences you need, or you need to learn the grammar yourself, which is too hard and not practical right now for your quick project

Let me teach you how to use the translate feature in SignPuddle right now and we can discuss grammar more later -

Do not use THE or IS - we will translate the sentence:

"CAT BLACK" - which means "the cat is black"…
