SignWriting List
April 25, 2013

Hello Asmaa and Steve -

Steve is correct that SignWriting is designed as a daily writing system for all sign languages, and was never really developed for avatar work, however, just for your information, there are projects around the world that are using SignWriting for avatar work. Here are some of those projects:

In South Africa:

Test Avatar using SignWriting

Tunisia
http://www.signwriting.org/tunisia/tunisia01.html

Greece (old project)
http://www.signwriting.org/forums/software/lisbon/lisbon04.html

I can put you in touch with the work done in South Africa and Tunisia if you wish -

But meanwhile, Steve is right, that using the SiGML program would serve you the quickest -

Val ;-)

concerned with reading and writing.  Integrating SignWriting with
avatars is not ready at this time.  It would make for a great
    project.
