Glyphs, graphemes or symbols? ISWA terminology

I prefere "glyphes" because it is the choice made by deaf people of my
groupe. They told me it is because it's less related to others writing
systems (and they prefere it because SW is a fully new writing system and
it needs fully  new terminology)
