SignWriting List
May 18, 2013

Hello Tini and Henk!
Thank you for this message, and for your previous message to me, about using Sutton DanceWriting with your dance students…That is amazing after all these years… Thank you for telling me that DanceWriting is useful for your students…

For those new to the SignWriting List, SignWriting is a section of a larger notation system called Sutton Movement Writing, and years ago, back in the early 1970s, I started by writing dance movement. That section of the writing system is called DanceWriting:

and I met Tini back in the early 1970s in Copenhagen, Denmark - a long time ago...

Since that time, Tini also started using SignWriting with her sign language students in Canada:

and now Tini is back to teaching DanceWriting again -

Thanks for your messages, Tini, and congratulations on teaching again -

Val ;-)
