Hello Jacalyn,
I have a 2 projects connex to yours.

a) I wish to develop dictionaries based on signpuddle entries by using SignWriter Studio.
b) Also, I want to develop Anki flashcards with SignWriter Studio.

These would be for people who have little or no training in SignWriting, like sign language students, parent of deaf children or beginner intepreters.

My hope is that an introduction, between 2 and 5 pages, suffices to learn to read SignWriting (not write it ! ).

I could share my draft of those 5 pages with you when available.

Congratulation Jacalyn Marosi,
It is an excellent idea.
We may need this in French Québec in the coming years.
I will keep you in touch.

It's a student workbook that is basically a template for a DIY ASL dictionary. It's wildly helpful for students learning new vocabulary because they are documenting the concepts as they learn them. Here's the official description: This workbook is intended for advanced ASL students to individually fill-in ASL vocabulary signs as they are learned to create a personal dictionary. Included in this book are directions on how to utilize the transcriptions system, SignWriting techniques and examples to guide the vocabulary entries. Also included is a small section for a handshape thesaurus, an index to keep the dictionary organized, and reference charts commonly used in advanced ASL courses. Bookstores can order it, it can be purchased through the publisher direc
